70+1 Involves
OUTREACH
- Church planting: planting of churches in rural communities,
- Discipling a community through bible studies
- Facilitating the building of community churches
- House to house
- Other outreach activities.
HUMANITARIAN WORK
- Adult education
- Alternative livelihood; brick making
- Teaching better farming methods.
- Teaching in rural community primary and Junior High schools
- Health care: teaching community about basic hygiene and health Care
EXCURSION
Volunteers will have the opportunity to visit some of the beautiful sites of Upper West of their choice including;
- Gwollu slave defense wall
- Mushroom rock
- Mole national park
- Gbelle game reserve
- Wechiau community hippo sanctuary
ACCOMODATION
70+1 provides accommodation for participants at a moderate free on first come first serve bases. Should Allos House be full; there are alternate guests’ houses around for accommodation. (check hotels and guest houses in wa/Northern Ghana)

If you are not bringing your preferable choice of food, you can get in touch with a coordinator to
make personal arrangement. 70+1 also have some packages you can take advantage of.

Northern Ghana
There are five regions in Northern Ghana. The population in northern Ghana is around 5, 842, 678 (according to Ghana statistical service).
The climate of the region is relatively dry, with a single rainy season that begins in May and ends in October. There are major and minor ethnic groups some include Dagomba, Mamprusi, Gonja, Komkombas , wala and Frafra, among others.
